Brief of rare earth permanent magnet materials industry from January to October 2018

Benefiting from the rapid development of new energy vehicles, energy-saving appliances, industrial robots, etc., from January to October 2018, the rare earth permanent magnet materials industry maintained a good momentum of development, with steady growth in output, and the proportion of medium and high-end products was close to 60%. Among them, the output of sintered NdFeB blanks was 129,500 tons, up 5% year-on-year; the output of bonded NdFeB and SmCo magnets was 5,000 tons and 2,100 tons respectively, which was the same as that of the same period of last year.
