Brief of rare earth permanent magnet materials industry in 2018

In 2018, new energy vehicles, energy-saving appliances, power tools, industrial robots and other industries have provided important support for the development of rare earth permanent magnet materials industry. The quality of industry development has been continuously improved, product output has grown steadily, and the benefits of key enterprises have maintained a good momentum. Further advancement of advanced technologies has expanded new applications such as traction motors for high-speed rail. Among them, the output of sintered NdFeB rough was about 155,000 tons, up 5% year-on-year; the output of bonded NdFeB was 7000 tons, up 5% year-on-year; the output of samarium-cobalt magnets was 2500 tons, which was the same as that of the same period of last year.
