On November 15, 2018, the Raw Materials Industry Department organized a symposium on the 6 major group of rare earths in Nanning, Guangxi. Luo Tiejun, inspector of the Raw Materials Industry Department, presided over the meeting. Representatives from the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and the six major rare earth groups attended the meeting.

Participants discussed the current policies on total production of rare earths, resource taxes, environmental standards, and industry trends in 2019. The representatives believed that the total production control system of rare earths played a positive role in regulating the production and management behavior of enterprises. However, with the diversification of supply of rare earth resources and the increase of market demand, it is recommended to further increase the amount of production control indicators and improve the management model; It is also recommended to further adjust the industry standards, resource continuation, import mine management, resource tax and other policies to meet the development of the industry. In the next step, our company will seriously study relevant work proposals, further sort out ideas, and increase efforts in the adjustment of rare earth industry layout, green mining of ion-type mines, and deep processing applications, and promote the high-quality development of the rare earth industry.
